How is Linyi pipeline insulation insulated
2024-04-16

Pipeline insulation is an effective energy-saving measure, which reduces the heat loss of the medium inside the pipeline by adding insulation materials on the surface of the pipeline, thus achieving the purpose of insulation. The main methods for pipeline insulation are as follows:

Selection of thermal insulation materials: common pipeline thermal insulation materials include rock wool, glass fiber, polyurethane foam, calcium silicate, etc. The selection of suitable insulation materials should be determined based on factors such as the temperature, humidity, chemical properties, and construction conditions of the medium inside the pipeline.

Design of insulation layer: In order to achieve the ideal insulation effect, it is necessary to design the thickness and number of insulation layers reasonably. The thickness of the insulation layer should be determined based on the calculation of heat loss, while considering the thermal conductivity of the insulation material and the heat dissipation area of the pipeline.

The production of insulation structure: Wrap the insulation material on the surface of the pipeline, and then fix it with special insulation tape or metal straps. For larger pipelines, segmented insulation can be used, which divides the pipeline into several sections with a certain gap between each section to improve the insulation effect.

Setting of moisture-proof layer: In order to prevent moisture from entering the insulation layer and reduce the insulation effect, a moisture-proof layer needs to be set outside the insulation layer. The moisture-proof layer can be made of materials such as plastic film and aluminum foil.

Installation of protective layer: In order to protect the insulation layer and moisture-proof layer from damage, a protective layer needs to be installed outside the moisture-proof layer. The protective layer can be made of materials such as metal plates and fiberglass, and its function is to prevent external impact and ultraviolet radiation.

Through the above steps, pipeline insulation can effectively reduce heat loss, improve energy utilization efficiency, and save energy costs for enterprises.
