Where is pipeline insulation applied?

With the advancement of science and technology, there are various insulation methods available. As a better way to insulate and freeze pipelines, heating cables have been widely used. Industrial and civilian pipelines can be used. The essence of pipeline insulation and antifreeze is to supplement the heat loss caused by the temperature difference inside and outside the shell. Therefore, in order to design insulation and antifreeze systems for tropical pipelines, the additional heat load of the system needs to be determined first.


Petrochemical pipelines: Pipeline transportation plays a very important role in the petrochemical industry. Petrochemical pipelines are affected by low temperatures in winter. The medium in the frozen pipeline can cause the pipeline to be unable to transport properly. It needs insulation. Considering the particularity of petrochemical pipelines, it is recommended to use constant power electric heating products. Constant power electric heating cables have the characteristics of anti-corrosion, explosion-proof, and stable heat tracing.


Insulation of power desulfurization pipelines: Power plants that use high sulfur coal as the main fuel will gradually increase the emission of sulfur dioxide, causing acid rain pollution to the environment. In order to protect the living environment, reduce sulfur emissions and hazards, power plant flue gas desulfurization technology has received widespread attention, and the environmental protection industry is gradually forming. However, due to winter freezing and blockage, the desulfurization efficiency of the mud pipeline and process water pipeline in the power plant desulfurization system decreases.




Water pipe antifreeze insulation: In cold northern regions, how to prevent water supply and drainage pipes from freezing during the cold season often confuses residents. In many cases, when the temperature is below zero, the insulation cannot completely prevent the pipeline from freezing. Pipelines with a depth less than 80 centimeters require anti freezing measures. The anti freezing of water pipes only requires ensuring that the pipes do not freeze, and the self limiting alkaline electronic tracer can meet the requirements of anti freezing and insulation of water pipes.




Ocean pipeline: Due to the complex ocean climate, especially in winter, when the ocean pipeline is cold, it is prone to low temperatures, condensation, and even pipeline rupture. Therefore, insulation of ocean pipelines is a very important task. Considering the external environment of ocean pipelines, it is recommended to use self limiting explosion-proof electric heaters for pipeline insulation.




Tank insulation: Due to its large volume, heat loss also increases. Due to the temperature drop, the medium in the tank is condensed. It is necessary to maintain a certain process temperature to meet production needs. Therefore, storage tanks not only need to be frozen, but also insulated. When heating, enhance the electric heating product according to its selected self limiting temperature.




Industrial kilns made of ordinary refractory materials usually have low energy efficiency, and thermal conductivity is an important data for the design of high-temperature thermal equipment. Increasing the use of kiln insulation materials can reduce wall heat loss, improve thermal efficiency, increase the output of thermal equipment, reduce energy consumption, and provide more cost-effective insulation. Hard exterior wall insulation materials have low thermal conductivity and good thermal performance. When the bulk density of the hard exterior wall insulation material is 35-40kg/m3, the thermal conductivity is only 0.018-0.023W/(mk), which is about half of that of extruded polystyrene (EPS). This is the lowest thermal conductivity among all insulation materials.
