Extruded polystyrene board is widely used in the decoration industry such as wall insulation, low-temperature storage facilities, parking platforms, and extreme structural roofs of building concrete roofs. It has excellent and durable characteristics, stable performance, resistance to aging, and extremely excellent moisture resistance.
Extruded polystyrene board does not ignite when exposed to fire in the decoration industry, with a combustion performance of up to Class A and a maximum operating temperature of 180 degrees Celsius. Secondly, under the direct action of the flame, it will have the phenomenon of carbon deposition, no dripping, no curling, and no melting, forming a protective layer after the flame burns. Then, during the construction of the extruded board, it is necessary to remove foreign objects such as floating ash, stains, release agents, hollows, protrusions, and weathered substances that affect the bonding strength from the surface of the bottom wall.
When using extruded polystyrene boards in the decoration industry, it is necessary to ensure that all switches, plugs, and sockets are functioning properly. Electrical switches should be used within the specified range, and all equipment must be grounded. If there is a malfunction, it will be unusable and must not exceed the operating range of the equipment under load. The joint position of prefabricated concrete exterior wall panels should be processed in advance. The thickness of the extruded board should be reserved at the connection between the door and window frames and the wall, and the gaps should be filled tightly in layers to protect the doors and windows. The insulation performance of insulation materials will sharply decrease when they are in a water absorbing state, so the insulation materials used in engineering should have low water absorption rates. Common extruded polystyrene boards have fixed dimensions and stable insulation performance.
