Thermosetting polystyrene board is a widely used material for exterior wall insulation engineering, and its construction process has multiple types.

1、 Basic construction technology

Grassroots treatment

Firstly, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the base surface of the thermosetting polystyrene board to ensure that the base is flat, dry, and free of oil stains and floating dust. If there are cracks or unevenness in the grassroots, they must be repaired, which is the foundation for ensuring the quality of subsequent construction.

Construction of bonding layer

Use a specialized adhesive to stick the thermosetting polystyrene board onto the substrate. During the pasting process, it is necessary to evenly apply the adhesive, cut the board according to the thickness and specifications required by the design, and then accurately paste it on the base layer. At the same time, there should be appropriate gaps between the boards to facilitate air discharge.

Nail fixed

Use a nail gun or screw to firmly fix the thermosetting polystyrene board on the substrate. But the density of the nail fixation should be moderate, as excessive density may damage the polystyrene board. Generally, the nail fixation operation should be carried out at a certain spacing.

Waterproof treatment

Applying waterproof coating on the surface of thermosetting polystyrene board is to prevent rainwater infiltration, thereby improving insulation effect and extending the service life of thermosetting polystyrene board.

2、 Improved construction technology - adhesive anchor combination technology

This process combines the advantages of bonding and anchoring. On the basis of basic treatment and bonding layer construction similar to foundation type technology, anchor nails are used to tighten when fixing thermosetting polystyrene boards.

For areas with abnormal joints, rough sand will be used as a base for polishing, and then the flipping mesh will be pasted on the required parts, such as around the pipeline, to achieve a tight and smooth effect.

3、 Construction technology for special parts

In the gap treatment between the door and window frames and the wall, sufficient gaps should be reserved, with a width consistent with the thickness of the insulation layer, and insulation materials should be added to the gaps and sealed tightly.

At the edges of the thermosetting polystyrene board, such as expansion joints, settlement joints, temperature joints, etc., the exposed side edges should be covered with mesh cloth. The operation method should refer to the opening method, which can enhance the stability and insulation of the edge area.

Different construction techniques play a role in different building requirements and environments, and must be strictly operated according to the requirements to ensure construction quality.
