Methods for insulation of air conditioning straight pipes
2021-07-28

Air conditioning, especially central air conditioning, usually requires a layer of insulation material wrapped around the pipes. The commonly used insulation materials include rubber and plastic insulation pipes, and rubber and plastic insulation boards. Insulation is not difficult to detect, but insulation technology is difficult to find. Today, insulation will bring you more knowledge together! Below is a large inventory of insulation technology, and my friends are busy moving small stools and dragon insulation products.

Generally speaking, many people believe that straight pipes are easy to keep warm and lack technical expertise. As long as the pipeline is wrapped, this view is actually incorrect. In fact, the insulation of the straight pipe section is also very fragile. Incorrect insulation and lack of strict inspection can easily lead to defects such as joint cracking and bulging.

For pipelines that require two layers of insulation (e.g. one layer is 20mm and the other is 25mm), the inner layer should be covered with a 20mm board first, and the outer layer should be covered with a 25mm board. Due to its small inner diameter, 20mm steel plates are prone to bending. The 25mm steel plate requires a larger curvature radius due to its larger thickness, which is the sequence of linear insulation.

If it is a non horizontal straight pipe section, the principle of top-down should also be followed; During the insulation process, the internal joints should be misaligned (i.e. the internal joints are not on the same line), and the internal and external joints should be covered (i.e. the internal and external joints are not on the same plane, and the outer horizontal joint should be on the side). When applying glue, the two joints of the pipe joint should be discarded. The rubber ring cover should prevent leakage and be more compact. Try to avoid glue as glue should be evenly applied once.
