Precautions for making extruded polystyrene board
2022-11-07

During the production and construction of extruded polystyrene boards, there may be certain harmful substances. After installation, they are generally harmless and will not degrade or replace when used under high and low temperature conditions. The application variability is strong, making it an environmentally friendly and energy-saving board. The strength of extruded polystyrene board should be tensile strength, and its bulk density and tensile strength have an absolute relationship. The tensile strength of general EPS with a bulk density of 18Kg/m3 is 110-120KPa, and the bulk density of 20Kg/m3 is around 140KPa. The normal bulk density of XPS ranges from 25Kg to 45Kg.

When making extruded polystyrene board, attention should be paid to its water absorption performance: it is used under road surfaces and roadbeds to effectively prevent water infiltration. Especially in the north, it can reduce the occurrence of frost and soil freezing affected by frost, control ground frost heave, and effectively block the earth's atmosphere from moisture damage.

The insulation and decoration integrated board adopts different pasting methods to combine different installation effects. Therefore, before installing the integrated board, it is necessary to first check the installation environment in order to choose a more suitable alternative method based on the actual situation of the installation site. When installing extruded polystyrene boards, attention should be paid to their flatness, otherwise their aesthetics will be greatly affected. During installation, it is advisable to have a gap between materials that is too large, as it will inevitably result in poor flatness. Although there are two ways to use extruded polystyrene boards for roofs, it is still recommended to use an inverted construction method to avoid using this material due to incorrect layering, which can have the opposite effect.

When making extruded polystyrene boards, it is important to effectively control the quality of the boards. This can be achieved by focusing on the production process, which involves the use of extrusion technology to produce the boards. Effective control of this process can ensure the quality control of the boards.
