Polyethylene PE foam is used in the construction field, such as exterior wall insulation of office buildings and residences, insulation materials for cold storage, and ceiling coverings. Its fine independent bubble structure can effectively reduce the energy exchange caused by air convection, making it suitable for making insulation pipes and insulation boards, and it also has anti-condensation properties, making it extremely suitable for insulation materials in humid environments such as refrigerators, air conditioners and cold storage.
Polyethylene PE foam
Polyethylene PE foam is an open-cell structure, but the cells are complex, and it has the same heat insulation effect as closed-cell materials. Due to the high open-cell rate and complex internal cell structure, the sound wave energy is attenuated, thus showing extremely superior sound absorption performance. As the MFR decreases, the PE foam material becomes softer, the flexural modulus and compression load values decrease, but the tensile strength does not change much. LDPE with an MFR (190 ℃, 10 min) of 0.5-6 g is usually selected as the main raw material for making PE foam materials.
Polyethylene PE foaming usually uses chlorofluorocarbons or butane, which has an adverse effect on the environment. The product is difficult to degrade and is prone to "white pollution". It has excellent impact resistance and insulation. It can ensure that the product is not damaged during delivery. The insulation layer is an independent foam structure with an internal structure. It can effectively reduce the energy exchange caused by air convection and is an excellent insulation material.
The heat resistance requirement of the foam type is not the length. The forming of the component can be completed using a vacuum/non-vacuum rubber mold or a female/male mold. As long as a mold made of wood, polyester or epoxy gas natural resin or fiberglass is used, it is enough to extend the edge of the protective film.
Polyethylene PE foaming can also mold large and complex products, use low-cost molds, and multi-cavity applications using structural foaming technology, thereby reducing the production cost of products. Structural foam products are a kind of one-piece foaming material with a dense surface layer.
